A Huge Week!

Yes Yes I know I have not been around to update you all on my mundane life..but I have actually been fairly busy!!

Well let me sit & get a coffee so I can fill you all in. Are we comfy? Not going to be interrupted? Who am I kidding...of course we will be interrupted...we are all mums! Sheesh.

Ok...Let me start with last weekend....we spent it all over at our friend's place...which you saw some of the pics I got there...men in kids dress up hats etc...goobers!!!

Ok Monday started like any other day but at the same time it was bringing the retreat all the more into my reality. I was petrified & excited all in the same motion. I have never taught a group of people before. I have taught one on one but that is it! As much as I have had thoughts of teaching classes, it is not something that has ever been an opportunity to present itself to me before now. So I manage to fumble my way through the week....scrappignw ith some friends up at the LSS on Thursday...but Mr Mojo had desserted me. Lack of sleep was a big factor in this. Also I knew we had a jam packed weekend ahead that I was trying to be organised for in advance, as well as deadlines for DT projects looming large as well. Anyway I digress. I was on time for the retreat on Friday morning....did not forget anything which in itself is a miracle LOL. I set myself up at the designated area of the room as I was also staying for the afternoon session of scrapping. I put the LO's up on the display easel & happily accepted the coffee Peta had for me...god love her!!!! I chatted with a few of the girls while we waited for the last couple to arrive. That was it...off we went!!! I had a blast!!! A couple of the girls had not done much in the way of scrapping before so my LO's were a bit technique based for them especially the first one. There was a lot of sanding, inking, painting & fiddly bits to deal with. The overall effect was great...it was awesome to see so many different takes on the same LO. I have to admit I was a tad buzzed for the day as I watched these girls assembler my LO in their own way. It is funny how a different picture can change the overall look of a LO. We had beach pictures, vintage, baby, belly shots. It was amazing!

The next Lo was a fairly quick one as the first LO took a few hours for the girls to get through.

All they really needed to do was scrunch one of the pieces really tight & then smooth it out for rough sanding. It didnt matter if they tore it.. that made it look more vintage then. i really loved these Cosmo Cricket pp's that I got to play with. It was also amazing at the different pictures the girls used on this one.

At the end of the lesson it was 3pm by then..my feet were sore & I was ever grateful to be able to take off the teaching hat to just be able to sit & scrap. I was happily scrapping & enjoying the girls chatter when Jut rang...*grrrr* to let me know his parents were coming up for dinner. Well wasnt that just fabulous!
So I pack up & get ready to leave...get home to find that No they were not coming at all...He had said that so I would come home because he had promised tohelp a mate fix a car!!!! In other words he needed me to come home so he could take our car out to get there!!! Talk about peeved!!! He left...I sat & stewed whilst attempting to scrap *still have not finished that LO*

Saturday: I was looking forward to this day as we were spending it with some great friends out at the Watagan Mountains. We went 4wding wikth 6 other car loads. Talk about a blast! This incline was a bugger to get up. At one stage I was over to left of the photo so that I could see directly behind the cars...I moved after this other maniac sprayed me in mud!!! I mean I know it is good for the skin but sheesh cmon!!! LOL

This was the very first trail Troy tried to get up....needless to say that didnt happen LMAO Though I love the pics I managed to snap before he slid down to the bottom.

It was an awesome day..even Jess loved it! All she was happy about was the bumps..the bigger they were the happier she was LOL. She hated taking the car into the mud...but that was the most fun!!!

So Saturday was a hit! The kids all loved it & as much as I was dreading it I LOVED IT ALL!!!!

Sunday: Well this was a very special day for us. It was our first wedding anniversary. We headed out for dinner that was all we did. I was expecting something nice but a lazy day at home was much better.

I spent last night catching up on a couple of DT projects. I can't share them just yet. I have one to finish off tonight & then I am up to date YAY!
