End. this year has flown by & no matter how many times I have stopped to catch my breath over the last couple of weeks, I am still astounded that we are only a few days away from 2009!! I have been on a journey (whether I was aware of it or not) of self discovery & you knwo something - I like the person I see at the other end of the year. There have been some moments where I have to say I did not like who I was but a few life lessons & plenty of tears and here I stand - I am Terri --- Hear me MOO! *gigglesnort* The kids have all gone through transformations this year as well. Jimmy has turned into a wonderful young man who has found love for the first time. It is sweet, innocent & has truly restored my faith in him now being on his feet emotionally. He has been on his own journey this last year or so & to see him now thriving & loving life like we all should, gladdens my heart immensely. Nat is a wonderful soul & we all adore her. That first photo is from the night of her Year 10 formal - such love there for all too see.
Shrimpy is probably the only one who has not changed as such. He is still the cheeky imp in the house & always will be. He struggled through Year 9 - so I am hoping that he will knuckle down this coming year in preparation for Year 10.
Rebekkah - OMGAWD!! When did she turn into the stunner she is?!?!?!?! This last year she has truly bloomed into a gorgeous young lady. She had her final year in primary school & over the last few weeks I watched her struggle with it. As excited as she was - she was devastated as well considering her friends are off to other high schools. The Year 6 Farewell was difficult, the last day of school was a howl fest. Not just kids but parents & even teachers were crying. This year the Year 6 class was a wonderful group of burgeoning leaders of tomorrow. They were all mates, they were loyal to one another & best of all - they respected one another immensely.
Jessica - Well this little dynamo finished Kindergarten with all the glowing reports and as popular as ever. She has a million friends and a million more waiting in the wings for her. She is popular,intelligent and very well liked by her peers. I am hoping she will be ok at Maitland Public on her own
So yes, the last year has been a full one for all of us...most of us here have evolved in some way or another in our lives...all for the better I would say. I am happy with who I am -- so to a certain person who may well read this.... I truly am happy with that!!! trust me.
This year has also brought some amazingly wonderful people into my life. Emmi, Lala,David,Brig,Brad - all are amazing in everyway a person can be. They make me laugh endlessly, they have all been there holding my hand or my heart when the tears have flowed & I knwo these are friendships that Iwill have til my last breathe on this planet. You guys are my rocks....you keep me sane (well insane some days but that is ok too) you keep me balanced & most importnant of all - you all keep me loved. I love you all and I can not wait for 2 more sleeps to begin my drive to QLD to meet Em & Lala.....the rest of the group - get your asses onto a plane dammit!!!
