Summer Is Horrendous...

...and it has not officially started yet!!! We have been having days with our temperatures hovering over the 40C mark (100F) It has become unbearable for the most part. There is very little you can do with the heat other then try to keep cool & do very little. The storms that have hit here have done little to ease the heat, if anything they have made it worse! Part of Sydney are battling bush fires, thankfully none are near us...but I do think of those who are affected by them.

Eric has been a wonderful help yet again...between the two of us we bought a portable air conditioner for the house here to help the kidlets & I cope with the heat that is already here & the heat that is yet to come. I have been spending my days curle dup on the sofa scrapping to my hearts content. I have made a special Christmas gift to send over to a special baby girl...as well as a few other items to send. I have also been scrapping for a couple of CC's.

This one was for a colour challenge over at Bon's Scraps The colours we had to use are: Red, Blue, Teal, Black & White. It had to feature a photo of a friend or friends, as well as meaningful journalling. I scrapped a photo of my dear friends Julie Gordon & Steph Thomson. Steph took our gorgeous Engagement Photos & Julie has been an amazing source of strength and support especially of late.
The next LO was 'supposed' to be using the sketch over at Bon's BUT silly here got the sketch down pat...forgot the extra criteria...DOH!!! So I will need to redo it again LOLI am happy with them both...using up old supplies has been a tad frustrating considering I am seeing soooooooooooooooo much stuff on the market that I am drooling over but unable to get...but the pay off...an amazing life with the man I truly love & adore.

For certain people who were upset in regards to my 'venting' post. I apologise if anything upset you but I was venting on MY blog. I was not the one in the wrong, other people were also to blame and yet you have been 'upset' by my feelings being vented, by my thoughts being made public about something that has wounded me...as it also wounded my other children...the ones you have all but forgotten about & erased from your lives.

We have spent the last two days re-arranging the office (via webcam) so that it is all pretty much organised for when we do move over there. I have struggled this week, missing Eric desperately and aching for the physical closeness (hugs, hand holding, just being). We are making the best of the distance between us but it takes it's toll on us both some days more then others...this week is my turn to feel it worse. We have looked at bedroom suites for Bek online today as well as a reclining love seat for the lounge room...without saying anything to the other we had chosen the same lounge suite...made me giggle.

Bek has spent her weekend reading the Twilight & New Moon books...I guess I better hurry up reading Eclipse again for her huh lol. Shrimpy has struggled with the heat...he has been playing games in his room or curled up watching movies with me....back to school for them tomorrow YAY!
