Hey blog world..yes I have been remiss this week in updating you but there has been alot going on in my little corner of the world. Jess turned 6 yesterday as well as Shrimpy & I having to travel to Westmead as well yesterday for a check up...i detest that long day in the car!! Plus alot has been going on with me -- well inside my head at least.

So -- Jess turned 6 -- where oh where did that time go? Someone please tell me?!?!?! It does not seem that long ago that she was born let alone being in Year 1 at school now. She is a character that is for sure & there is a bit of a tradition that we do not open presents until the evening so that all family members are together. She was bursting from the moment she opened her eyes to rip paper off things lol. I got home from Westmead not long after her and she was bouncing to have gifts then! I told her to go get out of her uniform so that we could do her birthday photoshoot...talk about laugh! The kids all got in on the act & so did Jut...was funny to watch them all interact in their own ways.

Jess took over the camera at one point and managed to take photos of us all -- though I panicked when she started to run with the camera -- suffice to say she stopped real fast LOL. I am happy with the photo she got of me -- at least she didnt get me poking my tongue out lol

We did the cake after dinner -- was a low key affair but she loved every second of it.

Shrimpy's check up went as well as it could considering he got his butt kicked royally by both the doctor & the nurses. He has been cutting corners & playing russian roulette with Peritonitis...so I am hoping that all they said has finally hit the mark because his actions have been causing me the most stress in my life at this stage. We discussed what is ahead ion terms of transplant options, time frames etc...it is no wonder I have had a pounding headache all this week. Last night I literally collapsed into bed around 8pm & did not move. I was exhausted in ever sense of the word.
Today has dawned beautiful & sunny. Jut is taking the kids to meet his parents up at Macdonalds this afternoon for Jessica's birthday. I have been invited as well and also to get photos but I am still undecided if I want to go. I have not seen his parents since January now that I think about it....and it is a delicate situation anyway. I just am not sure i can deal with it today after such a draining day yesterday. Will see how I travel over the course of the morning.
In some rather exciting news -- well to me it is exciting. I have been out of the scrapbooking loop for 6 months easily while I dealt with soem very personal issues, my first foray back in and I have joined some other very talented women on the Creative Team for ARTastic Challenge Blog. It is a wonderful concept & one that I am sure plenty of people will get behind. Our artist this month is Salvadore Dali and his work Landscape with Butterflies.

Here is my interpretation of it:
Not much else to report -- that is enough stuff LOL I am about to get out of bed hahaha and begin my day.Til next time blog fans!
